Energy storage - what is it?

Energy storage lets you keep electricity when a photovoltaic or wind installation produces more power than is actually consumed.
The surplus collected in this way can then be used at times of higher consumption.
With energy storage we can:
✔keep the energy produced - if the owner of a PV installation does not use energy storage, the electricity generated goes straight into the grid. With a storage system, all the energy remains at their disposal.
✔gain independence - energy storage protects its owner against interruptions in the energy supply. The owner of a storage system is therefore resilient to power failures of all kinds, weather anomalies and other unexpected events.
