Solar energy – the cheapest energy of all time

This is what the International Energy Agency (IEA) announced in its forecast.
The report shows that by 2025 a total of 275 GW of coal-fired power plant capacity will be taken out of service worldwide. This currently accounts for 13 per cent of all capacity installed in this source.
The Agency forecasts, among other things, the retirement of 100 GW of coal-fired capacity in the United States and 75 GW in the European Union.
✔The previously assumed growth in coal demand in Asia is much lower than earlier forecasts indicated.
According to the report presented, renewable sources are on track to meet 80 per cent of the growth in electricity demand over the next 10 years.
By 2025 they will replace coal as the main way of generating electricity, and if a more optimistic scenario is adopted, renewable energy sources will play an even greater role over the next five years
